Happy Valentines Day weekend to all our current and past clients! We hope you’ve all had a chance to enjoy some quality time with family, friends and loved ones. Perhaps some romantic dinners, family brunch or maybe you updated your Tinder account. Either way, we hope you’re enjoying your long V-day weekend.
Did you know that on average 198 000 000 roses are produced just for Valentines day? What a great pay day for all our florists!
Instead of buying a gift, I’ve created a chocolate treat you can give for a healthy homemade Valentine gift.
Crispy Peanut Butter Cups
3/4 organic peanut butter (I used crunchy however both smooth and crunchy work)
1 cup rice crisps (I use organic rice crisps)
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp coconut oil
Mix all these 4 items together and set aside.
3/4 chocolate chips (I use dairy free due to milk allergies for my Valentine however any chips will work)
1/2 cup organic peanut butter
Melt chocolate and peanut butter. Line small muffin tin with paper cups. Place some of the melted chocolate then follow with some of the peanut butter mixture. I roll the peanut butter mixture into a small flat patty to place on top. Then chocolate again to finish it off. Place in the fridge until the chocolate is firm and enjoy!
Remember that today is not just a day to celebrate with a lover. Phone a friend or deliver these chocolate treats to a neighbor. Either way, share some love with yourself or someone around you!
